Albena Markova

Albena Markova leads the Advisory practice of PwC in a number of countries in South East Europe, including Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania. Her areas of expertise include business and organisational transformations, all the way from strategy, structure, processes, people and technology.

During her 22 years of professional services experience Albena has worked with some of the leading names across economic sectors in the region, including fast-moving consumer goods, telecommunications, financial services, public sector.  As a professional advisor she has consulted both locally owned private businesses and representatives of multinational companies.  She has led a number of multilateral donor funded projects for institutions such as EC, EIB, EBRD, WB, UNDP.

Albena is the co-author of the book “Success Formulas in the New Decade”, published by PwC in 2012.  She has also been leading the Bulgarian edition of the annual PwC Global CEO Survey for 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Albena has BA in Business Administration from the American University in Bulgaria.  She is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
